Working with Aliphatic Diisocyanates

The Aliphatic Diisocyanates Panel's primary activities include the following:

  • Participating in rulemaking proceedings and submission of comments on proposed regulations impacting hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), methylene dicyclohexyl diisocyanate or hydrogenated MDI (HMDI) and isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) and their polyisocyanates.
  • Initiating advocacy to address regulatory requirements that are unsupported by the available scientific data;
  • Communicating with regulators and others to improve the accuracy and reliability of data characterizations so that future policy and regulatory actions are appropriate; and,
  • Working with government health agencies to study aliphatic diisocyanates.
